30 Day Reading Challenge: Day 23

Day 23: Your Guilty Pleasure

I would have to say dystopian futuristic societies. I love seeing how authors view or possible world in the future. Questions always arise in my head. Questions can include:

  • Will the world be destroyed until there’s only one piece of land left?
  • Will the world revolve around computers in every, and I mean every, single aspect in life?
  • Will we be forced to fight to the death because we are forced to by the government?

These are some of the questions that came up in my head when I read some of my favorite dystopian societies.

30 Day Divergent Challenge: Day 22

Day 22: Favorite Villain

My favorite villain in Divergent would be Jeanine. She is very smart and uses people through her words and mind. Jeanine managed to get information from people without getting hurt. The other villains in Divergent, such as Peter, rely on their fists and strength.

I have just finished all my books so I don’t have any I’m still reading, but I’m going to start a new book today. The book I’m going to read is Goddess Interrupted by Aimee Carter. Goddess Interrupted is based on mythology, which is a topic that I find interesting.

Day 21: Favorite Book From Your Childhood

One of my favorite childhood books is Curious George. My mom loved Curious George and still does so it has become one of my favorites too. My little 7 year old sister reminds me of him by the way she acts.

Day 21: A Scene that Made You Laugh

A scene that made me laugh was either when Four tells Tris that he would watch her get her butt kicked by Peter only if there was cake jokingly (Divergent) or when Four gives a sarcastic response to Peter about having his gun by saying, “I thought I would shoot bullets through my nostrils.” (Insurgent) I just love Four’s sarcasm because my sarcasm is very similar to his at times.

Day 20:  A Scene that Made You Cry

A scene that made me cry was when Tobias says, “I’ll be your family now,” in Insurgent. My heart melted from kindness and love. Tris’s family (mother and father) died protecting her or betrayed her (Caleb). Tris realized then tha she won’t be alone because Tobias steps in to care and love her. It made me cry because that’s a real man and it’s hard to find that will stick around during times of hardship these days.

Day 20: Book that Makes You Laugh Out Loud

A book that made laugh so much was Just Listen by Sarah Dessen. I love Owen’s character because he makes me laugh with the things he says. He usually says things that contain profanity, which I’m usually not a fan of, but he says it in a certain way that makes me not care as much.
