My review for Return to Paradise:
I give Return to Paradise 4 stars. So at the end of Leaving Paradise, Caleb isn’t actually the person who hit Maggie. Maggie’s best friend and Caleb’s twin sister, Leah, hit Maggie. Caleb took the blame because he thought his sister wouldn’t be able to take jail well. Despite the initial tension, they both fall in love with each other, but things end after Caleb couldn’t take how his family was reacting to him home. Maggie figures out in the end right before Caleb leaves, but isn’t able to tell him she knows.
Now in Return to Paradise, Caleb has moved but gets in trouble again. He lives in a drug dealer’s home since he has no where to go. He could go to real jail this time since he is 18, and won’t be going to juvie. His transition counselor comes to the rescue, but tells Caleb he must do this RE-START program or he won’t help Caleb. Without both of them knowing it, Maggie is on the trip with some other people who were either victims or those guilty of crimes. There’s tension between Maggie and Caleb yet again. Caleb leaving reminded Maggie of her father leaving. Will they be able to get along? Will there be some arguments? Will Maggie tell Caleb she has known for a while that he didn’t hit her? Will Leah tell the truth and what are the consequences? Will they fall in love again? What about life in Paradise? How much did Paradise change?
