My review for Return to Paradise:

I give Return to Paradise 4 stars. So at the end of Leaving Paradise, Caleb isn’t actually the person who hit Maggie. Maggie’s best friend and Caleb’s twin sister, Leah, hit Maggie. Caleb took the blame because he thought his sister wouldn’t be able to take jail well. Despite the initial tension, they both fall in love with each other, but things end after Caleb couldn’t take how his family was reacting to him home. Maggie figures out in the end right before Caleb leaves, but isn’t able to tell him she knows.

Now in Return to Paradise, Caleb has moved but gets in trouble again. He lives in a drug dealer’s home since he has no where to go. He could go to real jail this time since he is 18, and won’t be going to juvie. His transition counselor comes to the rescue, but tells Caleb he must do this RE-START program or he won’t help Caleb. Without both of them knowing it, Maggie is on the trip with some other people who were either victims or those guilty of crimes. There’s tension between Maggie and Caleb yet again. Caleb leaving reminded Maggie of her father leaving. Will they be able to get along? Will there be some arguments? Will Maggie tell Caleb she has known for a while that he didn’t hit her? Will Leah tell the truth and what are the consequences? Will they fall in love again? What about life in Paradise? How much did Paradise change?

My review for Heartless:

I give Heartless 4 stars. So at the end of Killer, Spencer found out that an Olivia Caldwell could be her birth mother. Spencer is unsure whether she should meet with Olivia Caldwell or not. Hannah ends up getting Mike, but he future step sister to be tells Hannah’s father Hannah’s eating disorder. Aria keeps meeting Jason, her middle school crush and Ali’s brother, but he is acting weird and runs off all of a sudden. Isaac takes Emily’s previous relationship well, but his parents don’t like her because of how she is associated with the Ali’s murder and press, not being a lesbian or confused. To top it all off, Ian is still “missing” and the girls end up in the woods at the end of the Killer to see any evidence, but someone tries to kill them by setting the woods on fire. But Aria grabs a class ring that could possible be Ian’s before the fire.

Now, all the girls are in the hospital and they are all saying Ali was in the woods, but everybody else says that they were hallucination from a lack of oxygen. Hannah’s father makes Hannah go to an institution for the stress of losing Ali and Mona and all of the A notes, which causes her eating disorders. Will A reach her? Or will she end up leaving because of A? Spencer contacted Olivia and met her, which causes Spencer to want to live in New York. Will she try to live in New York? How would her family take it? What will happen if she does try to live in New York? Emily is getting over Isaac, but A tells Emily to go to an Amish community. Emily has no clue, but she plans on listening to A behind her parents’ backs. What will she find out? Will help with figuring Ali’s murder? Will it change many things? Aria is still carrying Ian’s ring, but can’t put it back in the woods where it was because the cops are still investigating after the fire. Can she hide it without getting in trouble? Someone who seems like Ian is telling the girls information that actually makes sense. They believe Darren Wilden and Jason DiLaurentis murdered Ali. Did they really murder Ali? Finally, yes this question again, will A be put to rest?

Review: Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

My review for Thirteen Reasons Why:

I give Thirteen Reasons Why 3 stars. I wasn’t too into the book since it seemed so depressing, but I loved the idea of the book. So…The book takes place in modern-day United States and the main character’s name is Clay Jensen. He has just received 13 cassette tapes from a girl named Hannah Baker who he liked. She committed suicide 2 weeks earlier, but made the 13 tapes before she did. She explains in the very beginning that whoever had the tapes last had to give them to the person right after their name was announced. She tells that there are 13 reasons or more specifically people that caused her to end her life. She also says that the last reason is the person who was the last straw in finishing her life. Clay listens to these in one day/night of his life and understands why she ended her life. But every time Hannah says another person’s name to be a reason, Clay wonders if he’s next and worries that he might be the last dreaded reason she finalized her life. Who can cause her to end her life? What reason is Clay? Is he the 13th reason? How will he take this guilt after she explains why he is one of the reasons?

My review for Leaving Paradise:

I give Leaving Paradise 4 stars. The setting is in modern United States. The story is told in the 2 main characters’ points of view. First, you meet Maggie. Before the accident, she was popular, athletic, and desirable. After the accident, she has a permanent limp and is an outcast in her town called Paradise. Her father left her and her mother before the accident and her mother works at a diner to scrape enough money for both to live with some comfort. After a year of surgery and recovery, Maggie returns to school for her senior year. Maggie really wants to take a trip to Spain, but she might not be able to since the scholarship she was going to get was an athletic scholarship. Will Maggie get to go to Spain? Maggie is still depressed and people make her feel like she’s a  burden. She tries to block out the accident. Then there’s Caleb. He’s been in jail for the year for hitting Maggie with a car while driving drunk. He gets to return to Paradise, but it’s not like life was before the accident. His previous girlfriend, Kendra, is going out with his best friend. He’s known as an ex-con. His family can’t even stand him. But does he deserve this cruelty? Was he the one that hit Maggie? Will Maggie remember the accident? Will Maggie be able to forgive him? Maggie starts working for an elderly lady to raise money for her trip to Spain, while Caleb has to do community service by working at a construction store. What happens when both of their paths?

My review for The Last Princess:

I give The Last Princess 4.5 stars. I really love the idea of the book. It had a different way of going about a dystopian society than most dystopian societies I have read. (I have read a lot of them). The story is about a 16 year old girl named Eliza and is the middle child in the royal English Windsor family. She has an 18 year old sister named Mary, who is next in line after their father, and a brother named Jamie or James who is about 6. Unfortunately, their mother was killed by poison while she was pregnant with Jamie because a man named Cornelius Hollister wanted to take the throne. Jamie was damaged by the poison, which makes him sick all the time and needs medicine that is almost impossible to find. The reason that it’s almost impossible to find medicine is because the whole country is in shambles. There’s barely any food, shelter, or protection for the people, even the royalty. When there’s a ball, Cornelius Hollister comes in and shoots the King dead, which meant that the 3 King’s children needed to run. This means Mary is now Queen and Eliza is the last princess. Mary tells Eliza to escape while she can, while Mary protects Jamie. Mary and Jamie get captured. Will Eliza survive? Will she be able to defeat Cornelius Hollister? How wills he do it?

My review for Wicked:

So at the end of Unbelievable, Emily returns to Rosewood from Iowa because her cousins put the blame on her. Aria’s boyfriend wasn’t completely sent to jail and left without charges, but left his job and Rosewood. Aria’s father is still living with a former student and plan on getting married, and her father’s girlfriend is pregnant. Before Spencer wins the Golden Orchid, she says she plagiarized on the last stage, which infuriates her parents. Finally, Hannah. She’s a wreck because A was still out there. So the question is: who was Awas Hannah’s BFF Mona because Mona was there at the Jenna accident and was actually a friend of Jenna’s. To make it even more twisted, Jenna plotted with Ali to use the fireworks to get Toby in trouble, but it went wrong. Mona found Ali’s diary and used it against the 4 other girls for revenge.

I give Wicked 4 stars. The girls think that their in the clear since Mona is gone and won’t be getting notes from A. They also have to wait for Ian to be charged for Ali’s murder, but he keeps pleading he didn’t do it. Unfortunately, the girls were wrong that A won’t be sending them harassing letters to them. Spencer wonders why her grandmother didn’t leave her any money in her will, which makes Spencer question whether she was actually a child born into the family or something else. Was she born into the family? Hannah is having issues with her future step sister since Kate now lives with Hannah. Hannah’s father is forcing her to be with Kate, but Hannah wants to ruin her since suggested to. Will Hannah ruin Kate or not? If she does follow A’s directions, how far will she go? Emily has broken up with Maya and found Isaac to her liking, but she is unsure what she is. She questions whether she is bi, lesbian, or just simply confused. She is also afraid that if Isaac finds out he’ll run away from her. Does he find out and if he does what does he do? Finally, Aria is trying to get her relationship back to normal with her mother, Ella, while her father and his girlfriend are getting ready for a new baby. Aria’s mother is back into the dating scene. But what if Ella’s boyfriends are more interested in Aria than Ella? Last but not least, who is A now and how are the girls getting these dreams where Ali clues them in on some evidence to help learn who the murderer is?
