My review for Delirium:

I give Delirium 4.5 stars. I thought the idea of the book was weird because it wasn’t like many of the books I read. It’s about a girl named Magdalena, or simply Lena. She lives in a futuristic USA with her aunt and her family. There’s a disease called Deliria Nervosa, which is a disease of falling in love with another, and there is a procedure done to every teen at around the age of 18. The procedure was created to keep others from getting hurt and control them. Lena’s procedure is coming closer and closer. She’s unsure if it’ll work since her mother was taken away when Lena was little because the cure never worked. Lena is preparing herself to be ready for the procedure until a teenage boy named Alex comes into the picture. He’s an uncured disguised as a cured in order to prevent people from the getting the cure. Lena starts to have feelings for him. Is this what the government is trying to prevent? She spends time with Alex secretly and he tries to show her what the real world is like. Will he win her heart, and if so, will they be able to find a way to escape both the cure and the government?
